What is Delta 9

What is Delta 9?

Delta 9 THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the active cannabinoid in marijuana that may give users the ‘high’ associated with cannabis. D9 THC is most mostly found in marijuana, hemp’s more potent cousin, and is the cannabinoid responsible for marijuana’s psychoactive effects.  Delta-9 can be derived from both hemp and marijuana plants.

Hemp-derived Delta 9 can be converted from Delta 8 THC and from CBD isolate. Delta 9 made from this method is referred to as an isomer and is convertible because it shares chemical properties of C21H30O2 and a molar mass of 314.464 g/mol.

This results in Delta 9 that is derived completely from legal hemp.

Is Delta 9 THC  Legal in Your State?

Delta 9 THC products are commonly found in marijuana dispensaries exclusively, until now! Hemp-derived Delta 9 THC products are legal per the H.R. 2: The Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018, commonly referred to as the 2018 Farm Bill. So long as the Delta 9 THC amount in the product is less than .3% Delta 9 THC by weight, the product is considered legal. For example, if we make a gummy that weighs 3 grams, that gummy can legally have around 9 mg’s of Delta 9 THC per piece.

Our products meet the federal standard, making them federally legal to purchase in the U.S.

Note: While all Greater Hemp products are federally legal, restrictions do vary at the state level. Please check your local state laws before purchasing.
